As the Creative Director, I keep communication with advertisers for funding of the print editions, and organisation of all visual media for the magazine, including photoshoots, art curation, visual commissins etc. My team and I consistently do in-depth cultural research into our target audience demographic. We craft a theme and visual direction which adheres to a younger audience with an interest in queer subculture.
UTOPIA
Devour: Issue 03
Our third issue surrounds the theme: DEVOUR. touching on the words multifunctional nature and its usage in society in describing insatiable desire. We chose this direction to create a commentary on our current societal lens being over taken by eager consumption, but also flipping the narrative to describe its positive nature with 'allowing' under-represented individuals and communities voice their minds and opinions, guilt and justification free. This theme additionally allows us to take a strong visual direction, including bright visual concepts around greed, destruction and consumption.

Sanctity of Self: Art Exhibition

Head Organiser for a sold-out event based on the theme of self-expression and self-fashioning through varying mediums that connect with each artist, stemming from photography to crochet canvas'. This exhibition included art from both students and independent artists around Bristol. We secured Thatcher's Cider as a sponsor, supplying the event with their newest cider, unreleased yet to the public. We were able to make a profit of over £1,000 donated to local bristol charities.
Annual Fashion Show
Eclectic
Our annual 2024 fashion show centres around the theme of eclectic. Working with Drapers' Company, who provided us with funding for the show, we earned a profit of over £1,000 donated to local bristol charities.
Working with a high-production team, I took the role of organising visual journalism of the event, as well as communication with all technical and visual aspects of the production, including lighting design, DJ set up, and model coaching etc.
